These individuals stumbled upon important scientific principles during their drunken quests for magic, many of which we use today, such as the vacuum flask. Indeed, the mesmerizing glow of supernatural powers has never truly left us.
Witches and wizards continue to live among us, many of them resembling the rest of the population, and we remain dimly aware of their presence as we go about our mundane tasks.
